Application Server Installation 9iAS or AS10g Pack

Installing and configuring your 9iAS or AS10g application server is critical and not something that is easy to recover from if it is done incorrectly. USIT can perform your install and configure your application server and you can be assured that it is done right the first time. USIT will install the application server and verify that all required options are running correctly.

Tasks:

1. Perform Engagement kick-off meeting (evaluate what the customers perceptions are and set expectations determine which type of install: J2EE, Portal and Wireless, or BI&W)
2. Verify that the clients hardware configuration is an Oracle supported configuration
3. Analyze customers needs and plan installation accordingly
4. Check for patches and plan patching if necessary
5. Perform an infrastructure installation type of either 9iAS or AS10g including metadata repository and identity management components
6. Install mid-tier and connect it to the infrastructure
7. Set-up any accounts (if any) in the infrastructure
8. Test connectivity to the mid tier
9. ½ day hand-off/turn-over meeting

• The proposed hardware platform is set-up and is an Oracle supported configuration
• All necessary client personnel will be available to provide input and support
• Client has a valid Oracle CSI number
