September, 2009 - USIT announced today it has won the much anticipated DBA Support Services contract for the Defense Supply Center, Richmond.
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has numerous Oracle Database and Application Server implementations, each hosting local and enterprise 24x7 production systems and applications, which need to be administered on a day-to-day basis under this contract. The USIT team will provide technical services for the installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of Oracle Database and Application Server software for these systems, including routine day-to-day administration support, troubleshooting, complex tuning, performance monitoring, and research. In addition, USIT will be responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructures to leverage new technologies and support DLA's ever increasing requirements.
This five year contract will support the addition of a number of new full time USIT employees, further strengthening USIT's presence at DLA and our Oracle delivery capabilities across the company.
